Academy Update
January has seen the academy welcome a number of new members (as well as some inclement weather!) and it is great to see the hall full and the buzz round the kids. There has been some interest in the new resources and children have been asking about the Focus Foam, for targeted and purposeful focussed practice. Alastair is going to contact the company responsible to see if they are able to provide any discount for members (they can be quite pricey!) so watch this space.
We are also pleased to announce that the academy will be hosting the first Dundee Youth Open on the 13th of September. The event is being sponsored by our own Upper Deck Landscaping and their ongoing support for the Academy is very much appreciated. The event will be a ranking event and so points will be up for grabs from the JDC. This is a huge step for the academy and for youth darts in Dundee, with a massive opportunity for our children to showcase their talent.
Our partnership with My Club Hub has taken off with great success. The volunteer team are already seeing the huge benefits provided with the administration tasks being streamlined and made more efficient. Many thanks to John and Andy for all the support and patience (dealing with some self-confessed technophobes!), they do an excellent job.
